I am using the Facebook settings in vMix 4K 23.0.0.66 to stream our church services. I've only be able to get a 1080p broadcast to work once even though I am sending the 1080p preset for FB. It automatically downgrades it to 720p.
Is there some setting in FB that I need to adjust?

Thanks.

Brian

Hi Brian - having made the same mistake, I know the answer to this one! :)

Facebook will not allow you to stream at 1080 unless you are part of the Level Up Programme - further info here - https://www.facebook.com...77882?id=648321075955172

Yes, I've seen the level up program, but why would it on one day allow me to stream at 1080p and then stop? Seems strange. And I don't understand why I need to convert to what looks like a gaming page?

Create your FB stream using the vmix API, this method allows FB to accept a 1080p stream.

If you create your stream with the FB landing page, it will only allow streams up to 720p.

I am using the vMix Facebook destination option where I login to facebook from vMix and specify Quality at 1080p 6mbps. Then just click Stream.
Or are you talking about using a custom RTMP Server method?

I tried using the Custom RTMP method as well, same result. Facebook sees I'm sending 1080, but resolution is capped at 720. I see messages in the Event Log about that.

Yes, Use the vMix Facebook destination option where you login to facebook from vMix and specify Quality at 1920 x 1080 6mbps.
Also, Make sure your input sources, master output size / frame rate, and external output 1 is set to 1920x1080 / ntsc 29.97p
and double check you are using the latest vmix version(23)
It's possible that facebook is blocking 1080 streaming in you area.

Yes, Matt, that is exactly what I am doing. I think you are right. I have seen 1080p stream a couple times, but generally it just drops to 720p.

So, I signed up for the Level Up Program which basically means adding the Gaming Video Creator tag to your page. I have qualified for 4 of the 6 requirements so we'll see if I can get all 6 and can up my stream rate to 1080p. Facebook did say they recommend I use 30fps rather than 29.97, so I changed that.
