why are we still in the world of deley in the world of vMIX?

it says and claims to be THE proffesional preference of choice for streaming ?

it kind of feels like in the beginning you remember the days of before zero latency being the goal for any proffesional user norm.

with the constant updates aiming for the next hip and colors shuffling around the dash to bring a new look it would be nice to see the developers kind of adress the more basic feautures of bringing the ears and lips together in a big smile.

vMIX is not a proffesional choise it is just not there but nice try.

I believe that Mr. Sjostrand is referring to the forced 1024 samples of buffer setting latency that vMix fixes onto any ASIO audio input (through Add Input > Audio Input). I don’t recall ever having encountered this MAJOR issue in OBS for example. In many situations it is exceptionally difficult (=impossible) to both monitor and perform live with this kind of latency. The real question is, are you going to address this issue, vMix?

In the old days for a home production you had to take out your 8mm film camera ( 16mm if you had more cash) shoot your stuff and wait for the film to com back developed.
Then to edit you had the physically cut the filmstrips , grind the end and weld (glue) the pieces together in a proper order and throw away the bad stuff ( or reshoot)
Same thing with audio recordings on tape , then mark (with a marker or bit of colored tape) a start point on it to sync with a frame to start from.
The most important editing tool for a nice production was the cutter or scissors ;-)
To show your production you had to put your first frame on the right spot in the projector , loop the audio tape from the player through your projector so both would loop through at the same speed , match it with your tape marking and keeps your fingers crossed the tape didn't slip and got out of sync or even worse a weld in the filmstrip didn't break due to the heat of the lamp
And we fuzz about a ms ;-)
