Hi all -

Using VMix 12.9 on an HP Z800 with 24Gb of RAM and dual core Intel processors.
Encoding is an Osprey Viewcast 260e

I am choosing MPEG as my Save As when recording a file to harddrive at the default settings of 25 Mb, which results in an average filesize of 5-17Gbs when recording 1-2 hours of talking heads in a meeting.

I tried the TS setting but it was actually worse.
My video card on the server is an NVidia GeForce Quadro 2Gb with DVI + 2 display ports. When I use the display port to go to a DVD burner the recorded DVD is much better than the file recorded to HDD.

I am using the SD version of vMix, and my inputs and switcher are all SD composite analog.
So a clean analog picture is what I'm expecting, but I get a very blurry video and the graphics are also out of focus.

They are crisp on the live stream, so its only the file recorded to HDD that is the issue.

What do I need to do to get a clean SD archive file on the HDD?

Can you provide a copy of the log file?
Also a still from the video would be helpful.

I just ran a test of an SD recording at both 8 Mbps and 25 Mbps with good results.

Regards,

Martin
