I would like to make elaborated multiview animations like this:

I do my composition in photoshop with the rectangle of the speakers as a transparent crop. And then I put this over the inputs (vmix calls) but when I transition using the "Merge" I get a crossfade effect I don't like:

Also, how can click the input and make it to program instead of preview like the previous video?

Thank you very much!

Hi,
The tutorial you showed is really a nice example.
After watching it, I believe that the merge transition duration was shortened so you cannot see the crossfade effect that you do not like.

Also, if you go to settings/options/Activate QuickPlay by clicking Preview Window
You can change the click behaviour (please see vMix user guide)

Hope this helps

Cheers

each input layout has ALL the same inputs in multiview and then one merges between them.
If you do get a sort of crossfade one has to temporary switch the layer order of these inputs in the multiview (trigger)

like Martin says : quickplay for selecting view
