If I connect cameras to vMix using a HDMI to USB capture card the image stutters and there is a lot of lag (there is very little when connecting webcams). If, however, I connect it to OBS and then use the OBS Camera in vMix the image is smooth, though with latency. Can anyone suggest a fix?

Had the same problem and when I set the input to 1920x1080 MJPG it solved the problem. BTW, I just got a USB capture device for $27 on Amazon see https://amzn.to/3eTtLxI. I cannot believe the performance with a JVC 310 (camcorder) . The latency is within a frame or 2 of my Magewell 4 port PCI capture card. I will be posting some latency numbers compared to NDI shortly.
