I would also prefer that the password wouldn't reset every time I go to check the settings.

If vMix lets you choose your password, it is very likely that this password is already in use for somebody else and your callers are routed to the wrong place.

(Or like a 4 digit pin) I've run into situations where a call was reused and an old caller used the same password instead of a new one they were given, so it kicked the person that was on the old call. This way we can keep a current login, and just change out the pin for new shows.
