Activators - overlay events

The idea behind this is that I want to have some shortcuts to turn overlays off, but only one shortcut per overlay. Whilst this is possible, it is not possible to tell my midi controller to light up a button if, for example, overlay 1 is in use, this is because you have to select an input when you select "Overlay1" as the event.

Thanks, but I’ve seen that video and it doesn’t stop me needing this feature.
Either that or there is a bug as if you select “Active” in the input dropdown, it doesn’t work if overlay1 is active. It only work if the overlay input is in the program output and being used as an overlay at the same time (which no one in their right mind would ever want to do!)

hmm
what does work if you put an input in the preview first and then overlay that input the light does show up (workaround)
Shortcut put input in preview AND overlay nr, specify preview for the activator

Yes - you would think this could be possible as you have the ability to turn the overlay off with the buttons between Preview and Program. They just need to be replicated by hardware.
I would love the ability to be able to assign a whole row of key inputs to my hardware mixer and also have 4 overlay assign buttons. Simply toggling between these 4 would highlight which input is assigned. I believe the only current way of doing this is to have four individual rows - one for each overlay. Another 4 Direct Key buttons could then simply key on and off the overlay.

Before posting new Features Requests, it is advised to check if similar FR do not already exist... and add your +1 as the case may be. FR are considered when they are popular, the more similar FR, the less imapct they have. https://forums.vmix.com/...n-multiview-or-External2
