So if I build a set of inputs and save them as a preset named "Show-001". Then I build a new set of inputs and save them as a preset named "Show-002". So now preset "Show-002" is the current preset that is open. Now say I want to add a few of the input from "Show-001" to the current preset that is open "Show-002". So I select OPEN the select preset "Show-001" I select from the list of the inputs in "Show-001" and choose APPEND. All good so far. The problem is now that I have "Show-002" setup just the way I want it, if I now save the preset it defaults to the appended preset name which is "Show-001" which then obviously over writes my existing "Show-001".
My suggestion is: If you APPEND to an open preset it keeps the original open set name. If you OPEN a preset it then obviously uses the preset you opened as the name to save as.
For example: If open preset "Show-001" then APPEND a few input from preset "Show-002" The save as name should stay "Show-001"
Make sense?

I was just about to make a similar post. Appending Inputs from another preset renames the current preset to that of the one supplying the inputs... in my opinion this should not happen.

+1 I have also problem with this. Always have to rename to the old name. Very easy to do wrong with it as it is now.
