TL:dr I want to know if there is a way to get animations built into graphics using GT to work when activating those graphics via multiview.

Long version and explanation. I am producing soccer games for my university and to try and minimize graphic channel usage, I built a "home overlay" and "away overlay" input that is blank but multiviewed with the various graphics I need (Red and Yellow cards, substitutions, goals, etc.) I have tried to add in some animations to those graphics, but utilizing the shortcuts to activate them, the animation does not play. If I manually overlay the graphics the animation plays just fine. Is that just a consequence of how I have things built or is there something I am doing wrong to get the animations not to play.

As a side note, I attempted to take the animations OFF those graphics but when I did that, the graphics would not show up at all when I tried to overlay them manually. The overlay channel I had selected simply remained highlighted until I put a different graphic into that channel. Anyone have experience with that either?
