See the "Fullscreen" section in vMix's help file.
As documented there you need to make sure that your graphics card is set to display the second screen as extended (Before you start vMix). In addition, make sure that the resolution of your second screen matches your production resolution (vMix's Settings tab) in order to optimize your CPU perfomance. And ideally the frame rate too, which reduces the risk for "tearing". You can the toggle the second screen by clicking the "Full screen" button in vMix, and right click in order to select what you want to "beam".

You may alternative use a video output card (like the Black Magic Intensity Pro). This will give you added control (eg a clean feed without overlays) and reduced CPU usage. For more info see the help file for Settings/External output.

Good luck!
