We already have the vMix virtual webcams as output devices.
It would be neat to have: - All the vMix audio buses as virtual audio outputs. - A virtual audio devices as input
I think it would make life much easier for a lot of people, if we didn't have to use a number of 3rd. party virtual audio cables, in order to receive or output audio in vMix. It seems to me that many are having difficulties integrating vMix with tools like Zoom and Skype etc. simply due to the added complexity and confusion caused by the additional need of a 3rd tool. Being able to simply select "vMixAudioBusM" or "vMixAudioBusA" in etc. Zoom, would make it much easier for many.
On the input side, adding an audio input "VirtualDevice" could create a virtual audio device on the fly in Windows. If the virtual device name is named the same as the input within vMix, it would be much easier to use any 3rd party meeting app or whatever you need.
On top of the easier use, vMix users don't need to go and buy virtual cables separately. Also, it could be optimized possible latency by default.

+1
This was one of the things I like about Wirecast. It has a Wirecast Virtual Camera and Microphone. It simply shows up as a camera and audio source in most applications.

Turn on the "External" setting. It appears as "vMix Video" to apps that would use a webcam. You can use any virtual audio device with vMix. I recommend Virtual Audio Cables from VB-Audio. For a small donation you get several cables. I could support this idea of it was standards based. For example, implement VBAN allowing vMix to send/receive audio to/from VoiceMeeter. Or Dante. But that's a bigger bite.

I agree that this could be added to vmix but on the other hand this is very easy to solve with third party software. I have recorded a quick video of how to send a BUS to Dante enabled devices in the network. This might help in your case. http://mavik.de/live
