Goal: register/activate 60-day trial of vmix

Problem: it gives an error
Steps to recreate:

-- be on Windows 10 Pro
(32gb ram, brand new machine)
-- download version 23.0.0.46
-- run the installer
-- get to a screen that gives you two options:
a) "I Have a Registration Key"
or
B) "Register for a fully functional 60-day Trial"
-- Choose B
-- Enter your email address
-- Hit the OK button
-- Wait
-- See a dialog box, top-title "vMix Error" -- inner box content: "Product Key has expired" with two buttons "Send Error Report" and "Close" -- along with a scrollable textarea that says "Registration"
-- Hit either button, it brings you back to the "enter reg key or register for trial" dialog window.

Expected behavior:
-- it allows the registration, perhaps it sends an email to verify confirm something

Errant behavior:
-- The app doesn't enable a trial, nor contacts you about the trial registration. Instead you get the error above.

I'd love any help.

I searched the website,thinking: do I need to register on the web first somewhere? But I can't find any web based trial-registration forms.

I have experienced this:

Entirely new PC except I pulled and used a hard drive from an old PC that I had a trial on. vMix saw this new PC as "already used trial" due only to the hard drive being the same.

recently vMix has seemingly instituted more rigorous checks for vMix trials. these may include IP and hardware. No notes on this I can find. but my experience says so.

best solution drop $60-$350 on the real deal.

Im actually experiencing the same error. Currently setting up and pre-programming a server for a church and couldn't get it into trial mode.

My solution was to use one of my currently unused licenses for now.

I am also getting this, trying to register for a trial of v23.0.0.57.

  • I have never installed vMix previously
  • I had never registered on these forums previously
  • I tried more than one email address


I always get a "Product key has expired" error when trying to register.

Please drop us an email if you can't register for a trial.
We can check on our end to see if a trial has been used in the past and if so why.

Hi everybody!
I work for a TV station in Rome, Italy.
We decided to use Vmix for one of our channels.
I installed several Trials on different PC to teach Vmix to my collegues. I never had issues.
I installed Vmix on a PC that will be our broadcast PC, and i wanted to use a Trial version to build all inputs and Titles, etc. but I can't activate the Trial Licence - i have just an error and i just can press the report button. I changed severals emails, but i have always the same issue.
We will buy the 4K Licence the 1 August.

Why not email support@vmix.com or https://www.vmix.com/contact-us.aspx directly?

also make sure you installed from a download directly from https://www.vmix.com/

I have encountered this, Totally new PC aside from I pulled and utilized a hard drive from an old PC that I had a preliminary on. vMix considered this to be PC as "effectively utilized preliminary" due just to the hard drive being the equivalent. as of late vMix has apparently organized increasingly thorough checks for vMix preliminaries. these may incorporate IP and equipment. No notes on this I can discover. be that as it may, my experience says as much. militaryalphabet.vip
