The following would be VERY helpful to us, as one of our vMix licenses we use as a playout machine for a 24-hour channel.

The ability to execute a script in a playlist would be very helpful. For instance, the ability to add a script into a playlist position before two videos.

The following scenario would be our holy-grail...

Playlist:

1) Video Segment 1
2) -script- (triggers something to happen externally via CURL. In this case, tells our server-side ad insertion to splice ads into the final HLS stream)
3) Video slate (2 minutes of filler - the length of our ad break)
4) Video Segment 2

and so on and so forth.

If there's another way to do this, let me know...I haven't found a way. I can get halfway there with triggers on events, but the above would be far superior.
