Hello!

Does anybody know how to do fade transition smoothly from larger image to smaller? I know that I could use the merge function, however it's not an option when making photo slideshow which contains images with different aspect ratio.
You can download my video "untitled.mov" and see how it looks.

Merge and fade act basically the same when the 2 inputs are different , when they have the same content but in a different position/size the they "animate" from the one to the other with merge.

if i understand you correctly the effect you are asking for between 2 different inputs is that the one transfers to the size of the other one. Not possible as is . CrossZoom is the closest you can get imo

I will try to explain a better way. I understand that there is a difference between fade and merge function and it's ralated to image sizes. For example my Vmix output size is 1920x1080 and I have an image of the same size in the output. And I want to fade in an image in size 500x1080. When I to do it with fade function, the overlapping part of 2 images fades normally, but the rest of the image doesn’t. It dissapears within 0 seconds when transition is finished.
My problem is that every time when I have different aspect ratio images, I need to decide which function to use. Sometimes difference is so small that it's difficult to distinguish between these sizes.
Any advices?

I made a better video which illustrates the situation:
