We are in the process of upgrading our church's live streaming set up. We have a fairly new computer and just purchased a new digital sound board. We chose a Yamaha TF1 which is a 16 channel digital board. The problem we are having is that the Yamaha will not communicate with vMix. The audio inputs in vMix are limited to 1 thru 32. The Yamaha uses channels 1 thru 32 for input and output and use channel 33 and 34 to communicate with the computer via USB. Anybody use the Yamaha with vMix, and if so, how did you resolve this problem?

If you have the dante optional board in the tf1 use an dante virtual soundcard from audinate, it's the better solution. The other solution is to create group in tf1 with the input you want in vmix and the group can be send to any output channel between 1 and 32. I d'ont have anymore the tf1 so i can't help your more.

This is a real problem with vMix - the software simply won't recognise channels 33/34 where Yamaha puts the USB signal. We were left with no good alternative than to use 2 USB interfaces - one for input into vMix, another for output. It's a poor solution made necessary by the fact that the USB facility in vMix is incompatible with the TF1 to the extent it can't see the USB in or out. Any other audio software can see the TF1 without any problems. That plus the substantial latency problems we're seeing with vMixCall are all that makes vMix not perfect!

We just setup an output from the board connected to the line in input on the computer and adjust the mix using the input settings for that output.

Hello friends,

I think this is what you're looking for! Getting audio to and from VMix now.
