Hello, I am interested if anyone is currently using a regular camera plugged in to a spark, then sending that signal back to the switcher over something like a nano station? Curious what the latency is like, how does it look being sent NDI-HX, and how far out are you going with it?

I recently using my PTZ optics camera and send NDI-HX out of the camera to a nano station then over to the switcher. Very little delay and able to control the PTZ camera.

Thanks for a link to that video. Do you think the latency would be less if it were through a spark and not RTSP from the camera?

300ms is slightly better than what I got doing this through a HDMI to Lan converter.

But the PTZ optics camera does not have to convert HDMI to NDI-HX. It comes directly out of the camera. I am hoping and maybe assuming that there wont be much added delay going camera-HMI-Spark-Nano Station but curious if anyone has some real examples they have done before I buy a spark. Also I am considering the Kiloview instead of the spark since it already contains a batter and a mount

The signal path is fundamentally similar. The video stream from the sensor is RGB. It gets encoded, whether internally or externally.

I would expect NDI|HX to be marginally faster than normal RTMP.
