still little bugs :)

1. Audio from MXF isn't displayed in audio meters

2. Adding second video delay to a capture input (which isn't supported by vMix and it throws an exception) breaks previously added Video Delay - it stops recording :(

edit:
vMix 12 has bigger CPU usage than v11 - in vMix11 playing 3 MP4 720p50 streams + recording to MPEG-2 720p50 50Mbps + streaming in OBS with IntelQuickSync causes max. 25% of CPU usage, while v12 has peaks up to 50% and constantly drops frames from recording and input previews are stuttering

my system specs:
Intel Core i7 2600k
P8Z68V/Gen3
16GB RAM DDR3 1333Mhz
GF GTX 550 Ti (in x16 slot but runs at x8 speed because of Decklink Quad in x8 slot)
Decklink Quad
Decklink Duo (x4 slot)
Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Consider using Open Broadcaster Software https://obsproject.com/ - it has very fast implementation of x.264 and you can adjust many compression parameters :)

Yes, we have tried it, but there are also some issues.

i've found that frame drops occurs mostly while one of the external outputs has disabled one of the overlay channels i.e.

External 1
overlay channel 4 disabled, no virtual device, no external decklink renderer, only for recording

External 2
all overlay channels enabled, virtual device, no external decklink renderer

Hi Ernest,

Is the CPU usage the same when just running one external output?
Keep in mind a second external output requires another full output render of vMix so you will need a graphics card that can support this.
If the render time is above 20ms with it enabled, then a faster graphics card is required.

Martin

I have also wondered this lately.

The two new features are ready, but won't be "switched on" until shortly before NAB!

Nice :)

Have not tested yet the latest build, but has this been fixed: "Virtual set should remember its transition duration, now its always go back to 4 sec after reloading."

Kind regards,

Hi Martin,

While playing with your latest version I noticed something... ;-)

I cant enable the second Virtual video (vMix Video External 2)
I can check the checkbox in Settings - External Outputs - External 2 (vMix Video device), but it does not give an output when clicking External "start" (not even after program restart).
The first Virtual video (just called vMix Video) works OK.
Is it because I don't have a third monitor connected, or just me doing something stupid again?
(Or do I need a better license?)

I don't plan to use this feature but it would be nice to know that it works.
This also confuse "Livestream for Producers" which defaults to the second (vMix Video External 2) and don't want to stay with the first (vMix Video),
but this "vMix Video External 2" have the same output as the First video output so I can stream OK :-)

I will also post some feature requests in a minute.

Best regards
KKR

Strange, if you can see the video from vMix Video External 2 then it means the output is working.
What license are you using? Only Trial and HD Pro have access to it.

This will have to wait for a future release unfortunately, major bugs are the priority as
we get close to the final version.

Hey,
I wasn't sure if this was intended or not... but when you set an input as an overlay, any triggers attached to that input don't actually trigger. They work fine when you transition to the input via a mix or fade or something but when you try to set it as an overlay they don't trigger.

Yes that is intentional, triggers will only work for the master input, not for overlays.
The reason for this is to prevent complicated setups that may end up putting vMix in a loop.

Regarding the new video delay feature in vMix 12... can you please enable the audio delay slider in the Audio Settings dialog to delay >2,000 milliseconds of audio? The feature to delay audio is already implemented, but the ability to delay up to 15,000msec (15 seconds) would be really desirable.

Thank you Martin!
