It won't affect the final output, but its very annoying because its's giving the impression that the video frame have been scaled down and not filling the entire screen. The issue goes away if I narrow vMix window manually then its displaying them right (balck bordes only on top and bottom on 16:9 sources). I assume it only happens with some systems that have 'odd' screen resolutions. It works OK on my desktop machine but not on my laptop. This issue is also happening with v11. Kind regards, J. Tervo

Hi,
The black border is just part of the vMix interface window. It will grow and shrink according to the size of the desktop and vMix will automatically place the video in the center at the maximum possible size.
Regards,
Martin vMix

Martin vMix Hi! OK. Then it would be essential to be able to change the gray background to black or disable completely the black box containing the Preview and Output (or be able to change its color to the same as background gray). One and best solution would be user configurable narrow borders on the actual outlines of the Preview and Output. Kind regards, J. Tervo

Hi Martin, admin wrote:
Notes
SetMultiViewOverlay takes a Value in the format 3,5 where 3 = the Overlay number to change and 5 = the input to use as the overlay. For example, this shortcut can be used to switch an input when using a double box effect.
Regards,
Martin vMix
Thanks! One question left, what if I want to the set an overlay to 'None'? I expect something like 3,0 (or 3,-1). But without effect. How does it work? Regards, Hanno.

Set the second number to an input that doesn't exist, such as 1000 to set it to None.

Start with full screen, does not work on Windows 7 64.

Thanks Martin!! Yes, I know new feature requests should be posted else, but would like to have some indicator to v12 which would show the currently selected/active Virtual set picture size (and when the transition is still going it should blink / change color). Virtual set should remember its transition duration, now its always go back to 4 sec after reloading. Kind regards, J. Tervo

MXF/MOV file playback issues: audio from these files is played by the system default audio interface instead of the chosen one in the settings.

Thanks, Dundurs Consider using Open Broadcaster Software https://obsproject.com/ - it has very fast implementation of x.264 and you can adjust many compression parameters :)

Any chance we can get more overlay inputs? Right now there are 4, but there have been times when I could have used 6 or 7. Love vMix from the get-go and will be upgrading to v12! -Doug

Maybe this is an old bug. There is a bug when setting up recording and you click on mp4 and choose browse to choose location and filename the extension says avi. However the recording will be a .mp4 but the name will be test.avi-date-time.mp4. If you click on mp4 after you've chosen location and name the filename will be test-date-time.mp4
