I am a few days in using this software. I sure this may have been asked before somewhere and I apologize in advance for my ignorance. πππ I was wondering if there was a way to preview a clip as an overlay input without activating it's trigger. I'm finding that when I preview any clip with a trigger, those triggers are being activated. I only want the trigger(s) activated when the clip that's to precede it actually goes to the output window. I hope that makes sense. I'm pretty sure that I am just overlooking something.

What are you using to Trigger it currently? I would assume if you made the trigger for βTransition Inβ you would be able to monitor it and then transition in to go live with the overlay.
I can run a few tests to see if this is correct.

I am using (On Completion) as a trigger. So, essentially, when the clip is done playing in the preview window the trigger is activated when clip is done playing in the preview window; and I haven't sent it to the output or, "LIVE", window yet. I have to remember to pause it in the preview window every time. I may as well just remember to trigger everything else myself...

Ok. Can you give me an idea of the workflow, maybe an example of what sequence of events is occurring. VMix is very flexible and there are lots of ways to get the job done. A little more info should be able to get a solution.

Click on the TV icon under the input you want to preview.
