Guys, has anybody used vMix to collaborate remotely to produce a professional grade album. If so, how is it working out?

Thanks for any input good or bad. How is the quality of the audio (per specs with a good fast connection it seems like it should sound as good as if it were being recorded in the room next door..... and that the key issue would be the quality of the equipment and engineer and NOT vMix or Skype....

Actually, it's a little more complicated than that. You'd have to test to be sure.

vMix call uses WebRTC, which makes some presumptions about how to handle the audio. For example, it defaults to using noise reduction, auto gain control and echo cancellation.

It's possible for an app to turn the on/off individually. I'm not sure what vMix does. I know that it does not give you that control.

Latency is another issue. That will vary with your location and the other parties location.

It's doable, but you need to do some homework.

It's worth noting that tose services are simple WebRTC applications build as ISDN replacements, so they treat audio differently. Same underlying tech, just exposed in a different manner.
