Hi,

i like to have an overlay graphic or video on top of a stinger transition.
Is there a possibility?

Best regards

Where does it states one can have a overlay (like logo ) on TOP of a stinger ??
A stinger is the top most layer so while you might have a logo or title (overlay) remaining while transitioning it still will be behind the stinger

Yes, this is my problem. I like to have a Stinger under an animated Logo. But i can‘t find a Solution.

es gibt keine (standard)

only workaround i can think of is if you have the logo incorporated in your stinger file(s), in case of animated i guess one would notice a skipping or something

oops , i stand corrected , making a multiview (add logo layer) of the stinger input might work , but duration could be an issue

actually it kind of works if :

- have your logo set as overlay and set to loop (uncheck automatically play/pause)
- add the logo input as multiview layer to your stinger input
- have the duration of your stinger set to a very looooooong time as it otherwise will stop playing the animation anyway ( static logo less of a problem)

personally dont see the point of having this on top of your stinger but hey ...

Hallo,

Ok klicken.

Gruss

Hello,

I'm not sure I understand that correctly. I have not dealt with Stinger until now.
You want a permanent logo, eg. top right? I have always integrated the logo with overlay so far.
I hope I understand that correctly?
Have now made a test.
Add Input - Image Sequence / Stinger - a Logo.png added. In Overlay Settings (bottom right) on Number: Stinger 1 - Type: Picture in Picture - Effect: Cut - Effect Duration: 1000 - Duration: 1000 Frames - Stinger Input: the Logo.png - Stinger Cut Position: 1000 Frames - Picture in Picture position: the logo is placed. Ok, click.
Then crossfade the video or the camera from preview to output with the stinger 1 made.
Then overlay setting reopened and set at duration and stinger cut position 0 frames. OK click.
So now the logo is always displayed in my test, no matter what transition I use.
It works for me, I hope for others too.

Greeting

negates the proper functionality of a stinger , switching input in the mids of an image sequence preferably in such a way you can not see the cut point as it mostly will be hidding by a full screenfill of one of the images ie purpose of a stinger

not sure if this is what you're looking for, but could you not take the input that has the stinger, and add a logo in multiviewer? that way when it puts the stinger in, the logo is automatically put in as well.
