In this post, I'm sharing a piece of code that allows you to track the file being played and how much time is left. This information can be added to a title and displayed on a set for the presenter or other viewers. I believe that this code will be very useful for anyone working with audiovisual projects, especially those involving live broadcasts or presentations. I encourage you to give it a try and see how it works for your specific needs. And of course, a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the development of this code - your efforts are truly appreciated and make a difference in the audiovisual community. Link to Script

Just found your timecode reader, nice app! Unfortenately it does not work on our machine. vMix 27 (maybe too young version?)
I extracted the whole folder to my desktop an am running the 32bit version. I can't get the timecode from my vmix input read out. The API works though, but shows a 00:00:00 timceode the whole time. The app itself as well.
Does anyone have an idea? :) Thanks in advance!

I just tested the 32 bit version on vMix27 and it works OK. Is the 'connected' indicator beside the IP window turned "green" ? If not you might have the wrong IP. If you are running the app on the same computer as vMix, try setting the IP to 127.0.0.1 If you need additional help, feel free to contact me at info@studio793.caRichard

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, the indicator light is green. I can also see all the inputs So it def connects to the right machine/vmix. I will try that other IP solution later. Thanks again!

If you are getting a green connected indicator then you are communicating OK to vMix >> Did you add the "Timecode.gtzip" title file to your vMix preset ? This is important, as this is what is used to calculate the timecode on the app. The file is included in the download folder. You must also enter the file name in the in the "File name of XAML file" field (as shown below) Screenshot vMix Timecode Reader.png (221kb) downloaded 5 time(s).

Hi Richard,
I've been using this tool for years and it's been an absolute life saver. So firstly a massive thank you! With the latest version of vMix having the ability to provide total time remaining for lists, I was curious if you were planning on updating the tool to be able to read this information?
Best,
TT

Best,
TT Hi. The total remaining time list is present in Product Clocks but not in Vmix API. So un-fortunatelly is still not possible for a 3rd party tool to show directly this info for List inputs. We hope that (because it has been asked many times in the features request forum section) Vmix 29 will give us this ability
