I use Excel integration all the time, and it would be nice to have a way to map say cell B4 to the "headline" text, and F6 to the "line 2 text". I would use this for full screen standing boards with more than one entry, you have a bunch of teams, their point totals, wins, all is currently stored as a chart in Excel, but I can only use one line at a time the way the Excel Data source is set up.

This is already possible unless I have misunderstood you.
Each text field in an XAML Title can be mapped to its own data source, it can be from the same sheet or a completely different data source.

hmmmm, perhaps I can't figure out how to map multiple data points on a single data source. I have a chart that looks like this:

TEAM 1 4 1 1 8
TEAM 2 3 3 1 7
TEAM 3 2 4 0 5
TEAM 4 1 4 1 4
TEAM 5 0 5 1 1

I want to be able to map all those to different text fields, and using data source, unless I add a different data source for each line, I can't find a way to do this. I'd have to have 5 data sources in this example. It lets me select the column I use, but not the row. In the above example, the ability to select the row as well is critical. For larger graphics with 10-12 lines, that would mean 10-12 data sources.

You can convert rows to columns in the data source settings.
It might not be what you want or easily managed, but it is possible.
