Indeed, you need a more accurate reference. Richard from sub2r, in the process of developing his new camera, found that there are some devices that, while capable of 4K video, do not actually generate 30 truly unique images per second. Internal bandwidth limits can result in frames being duplicated. He's coined the term uFPS to signify "unique frames per second." He bought an old analog analog timer with a millisecond sweep hand as a way to verify camera performance.
