I think most important thing is total latency. If a camera has 5 frames latency on sdi and 6-7 frames latency on NDI, at least for me is too much. I want NDI like all of you, but please try to add total latency of camera on each output. Comparison between both outputs is not enough information in my opinion.

I understand getting a latency total to output, however, everyone's setup can be different, so if total latency is what you want to know, then you need to test with your configuration. I can't test that for you.

I just wanted to report on the camera itself.

Indeed, you need a more accurate reference.

Richard from sub2r, in the process of developing his new camera, found that there are some devices that, while capable of 4K video, do not actually generate 30 truly unique images per second. Internal bandwidth limits can result in frames being duplicated. He's coined the term uFPS to signify "unique frames per second."

He bought an old analog analog timer with a millisecond sweep hand as a way to verify camera performance.

To be fair, BirdDog has ANNOUNCED a range of full NDI cameras. Availability is not anticipated until Q1-2019.
