If you layer avideo input, then you will miss the time information for that playing video in vMix GUI below the PGM output.

Like you showed in #927, for video lists it's easy to do.

But I'm looking for a way to do this in panel builder for video inputs (not videolist input).

If I get you correctly, you will need to have input buttons for each input, and set them as a group, in which case you will have to still select each input separately, and have controls that will be shared by the input as it is selected.... If you look at the image in post #927, you will notice that the player has 3 buttons at the bottom which is related to my 3 players..as I select a player, I have my template set up to show which player is selected, so I will see what I am doing......as I select a player, it shows the file that is going to be played, and I use one set of controls to play/pause, and if I have a list, I can select the clip from that list to play....If you look carefully, you will see that Player 2 is active, and Player 1 is in Preview, so that if it was a list, I could shuffle through the list while Player 2 is playing. ....Have been using this setup for quite some time, and it works great....You see, I understand PanelBuilder, and I take time to experiment so I can get what I want, and what the program allows.

Joeboe say so

Is it possible to add backlighting to buttons for titles when the title is active in the Overlay?

Yes, I have for all my inputs....it is easy, but it takes a little time and there is a little understanding knowing what to do and how to do it...cannot explain right now, but you will have to create the backlight in Ps, and save it as a PNG, and use it as a direct cut for the input, and then place it behind the button ......

When you say "backlighting", do you mean a change in color or state of the button when an Overlay is active ? If so, the answer is Yes. When you use an "Overlay" command in a button it will change state when the Overlay is active. The 3 types of buttons will behave differently when they "tally . You can have a look at the documentation by clicking "Tools> Help" for a more detailed explanation.

I think he is talking about the glo I have in some of my templates....where I have a colour behind a selected button....it is easy but tricky if one does not understand what they are doing....I played around until I got it to work correctly....

I have no definite release date for the next release, but I am monitoring the vMix27 Beta progress.

It's easy enough to add the new shortcuts, but I'm still looking at what elements have been the API XML in order to provide appropriate tallies etc.

Thank you....I have an issue with the present version though,....when I open a preset, it works ok, but if I try to open another preset from the drop down menu, PB freezes, and becomes unresponsive, and I have to use 'Task Manager' to close it....Maybe you can look into this before your next release....thank you in advance..

Hello,

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I'm having problems when using vMix Panel Builder with many buttons.
The software glitches for a few seconds before restarting.

Have you ever had this kind of problem, and do you have a solution for me?

THX

I'm not sure what you mean by the above ? Does Panel Builder quit and restart when sending a "SetLayer" command ??
What versions of PB and vMix are you using ?

Sorry I can't duplicate your issue :(

I modified my post because I don't think it comes from these functions, but rather from the large number of buttons.

The program does not shut down, but it lags a lot.

I'm using PB 4.0.59 and vMix 27.0.0.68

Ah now I understand. Yes indeed, if you have too many buttons on one page, there is a risk of lag. The app scans all objects on the active page to create the appropriate button tallies, slider levels, vu levels etc. which requires some CPU processing. Depending on the power of your computer, it could lag somewhat.

If you can regroup and spread some objects across other pages, it would reduce the lag.

cheers,
Richard

My PC is very powerful, I think it's on the PB side that it's not keeping up.

But actually, I think the problem comes from the pages.
I opened multiple instances of PB with a single page of buttons per instance.
Everything seems to be working correctly.

I will continue my tests and I will keep you informed.

Thank you for your answers.

This is where some persons get carried away....a powerful PC is not always the answer, it is how it is set up....I have simple PCs and laptops, and get very little problems....You only need one (1) instance of Panel Builder, and can set it up to have many pages, even though that is not always necessary as I have 3 players using one set of controls that control all 3 players....I group items to be controlled by one set of buttons....You just need to understand Panel Builder, and how to set it up.
Check post:#946 ... check this image and see .... The buttons that I have are for 3 players, one set of buttons, a set to select the player in use, even titles are done the same way.....just read the manual... Check the image I posted.. maybe you can get a simple Template from me and modify it to your needs...
