I have a golf tournament coming up and was wondering if Vmix Call would work well for this. Good Wifi and hard line internet connection won`t be a problem here. I`m just wondering about the quality of the signal I will be sending back to the computer that will be taking the calls.
I will be using three computers that I already have Vmix installed on and I do 1080 on all of them with no problem and broadcast live to a youtube channel.
I do use laptops, but not cheap ones. If I need to use a desk top as the receive computer I can do that also.
What kind of quality can I get? Will I be able to get 29.97 frame rate with this setup?

On all calls we've done, each was a maximum of 15fps, with 720p video, dependent upon connection speed at the remote end.

My plan is to have laptops running Vmix at the holes we plan on cover. Pretty much how you would do a sports event.
Didn`t know if this would help the frame rates and quality since all the calls would be coming from machines running Vmix.
And thanks for the quick reply!

That's is a very good question. However, since our call have never been initiated or received from another vMix, I can't answer it. Perhaps, the best thing to do is actually test your setup to determine the fps and quality, at your in-house studio lab. At least you'd have an idea of what to expect, even if the connectivity speeds and other conditions might be different at your event location.

I agree on that TL. I have my laptops out with my crew right now and just had an idea on trying this.
Thanks!
