Hello Everyone,

Can I add stingers to a Playlist??

I'm trying to add stingers between each item -- using triggers, but am not seeing them incorporated. (BTW, I'm using manual mode, and the stingers have alpha channels.)

Maybe stringers are not possible in playlists?

Thanks!

I'm not near my vMix PC but maybe you could create a solution using 2 list inputs. you could transition between them with a stinger. Not an ideal solution...

I spent some time and I think it could be done using triggers, however, I don't think it would work in the playlist which would be a great addition.

I now have the answer:

Go to your playlist item and double-click it, then look for the transition and change from cut to the stinger you want.

Thanks for the update. A simple solution as always, this gives me a few ideas as well.

you can trigger stingers to each input used in the play list for different ones, as long as you're happy with them still transitioning the same outside of 'playlist mode'

Or possibly you could create a virtual input and use that for the playlist.....??? Then the stinger would only be on the playlist version of that input It would not touch the master versin of the input....correct????? (I’m just guessing.

off the top of my head, yeah but I'm pretty sure there's something like you can't create a virtual input of a video or list input.
if you can do it per input you'll have more flexibility, for instance using stinger 2 (I like automation but not repitition)

Hello Everyone,

For those following this thread, you can change your transitions in a playlist. As indicated in this thread, you just open your playlist, and click on the specific input you want to change the transition to.

While I wish there were more Stingers available by default then just 2, at least we have a slew of transitions we can use.

See attached screen capture, it pretty much shows how it's done.
