Hey guys,

I have a Gigabyte MoBo, GA-H270N-WIFI, a mini-ITX form factor, with a Cooler Master Elite 110 case. I'm about to buy a capture card from Magewell, caled Eco Capture Dual HDMI M.2, but i'm not sure it is compatible with my system.

First question: the conectors are fully compatible?
Mobo: 1 x M.2 connector on the back of the motherboard (Socket 3, M key, type 2260/2280 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)
Magewell: M.2 2280 standard size

Second question: do I have the necessary size in my case to install that?
The magewell specs don't talk about the devices size, but as in the pics it apear to be thick, i'm not sure...

Thanks for helping!

The socket is the right type, but being underneath the motherboard is probably a no-no, given that the Eco Capture cards have a heatsink ~10mm high which needs adequate ventilation. I guess it depends on the design of your case as to (a) whether there's space for it, and (b) whether that space will get sufficient airflow over the heatsink.

I've tested those Eco Capture cards in a full-size ATX Z170 chipset board, in which the M2 slot is on top of the M/B, and can confirm they work fine in vMix, albeit without the direct SDK support that the Pro Capture cards enjoy, not least because the SDK for the Eco cards hasn't been released as yet.

OK, thanks Zenvideo! That's a sad notice... maybe then I have to look for another case layout to make this work, because under my mobo there is no more than 10mm... I dont have any PCIe free in my mobo, and I dont expect to have the same performance in the usb solutions. Any other sugestions?
