Hi I am looking at the Magewell XI400DE capture card and was wondering if anybody has had issues with it or would recommend an alternative?

Aside from the fact that the XI400DE is a "gen-1" product which has been discontinued and replaced by the Pro Capture (gen-2) version, it will still work fine with vMix. However, if there's a chance of getting the Pro Capture Quad input version, I'd suggest that's a better option. Other alternatives you might want to look at are the Blackmagic Decklink Duo/Quad 2 cards.
