off to download and test

UPDATE: love this. I did a quick test and it played out perfectly in 12.0.0.129
Is there a way to load RTMP streams into the scheduler?

Yes... its a very simple process... thus:

1. Click on Add Input
2. On the Input Dialog pop up, choose Flash/RTMP tab, add your RTMP URL. if it appears and its showing...
3. Rename it as you desire... its case sensitive e.g BBC-LONDON by clicking on the cog and change the name under name just above Aspect Ratio in the General menu
4. Now on the vManager, click on the Input under the Add Event and put the Input name into the Title Area e.g. BBC-LONDON

That's it in my own simple way...

Do not hesitate to drop by should you need more clarifications.

I am using rtmp://SERVER/vod/NAMEOFFILE.mp4 and it doesn't seem to work.
UPDATE: I see in the documentation that RTMP only works with live.

What about archived streams that are on the RTMP server and not hosted locally?
How do I input those?

Is anyone able to clarify if the scheduler will work with archived files using RTMP?

Thanks

muchas gracias

@ clair
I cannot confirm whether or not the schedulers work with Windows 8.1 (I'm on Windows 7).
There were issues noted if system was not running Framework .net 4.0 (check page 3 of this thread)
Have you tried both versions? (macjaeger's and AMP's)
Are you running both the Controller and Manager applications? (you need them both to be running)

@ mscompagnoni
If I understand you correctly, you are describing precisely how the scheduler works... It automatically adds the inputs about 10 seconds prior to going "On Air" and deletes them shortly after use.
You do not have to pre-load anything into vMix. As long as you have a valid path to your input you are good to go!

Sorry for misunderstanding, the translation does not communicate very well what you are requesting or suggesting.
Can you describe a simple scenario that helps me to understand?
As near as I can figure (from the translation) you are suggesting it would be nice to be able to load inputs from the scheduler to vMix as you need them??? as well as automatically on a schedule, such as a title overlay (which is not currently possible).
Am I close?

Ice

example is the following add entries directly into the Vmix such as an rtmp stream and also an image and superimpose one audio input for the image to have sound then the scheduler take those tickets alone I set for 10 minutes showing the rtmp stream and then another 10 minutes to the image having associated audio input

gracias martin

It looks like to having a bug in this application.

vMix scheduler cannot connect to vMix, when using "title" at Multi byte letters.
then remove "title", scheduler can connect to vMix.

i using scheduler without "title" now.

My tests have found vScheduler works well with vMix 12, as confirmed by Martin. I'll address a few questions that have been asked as well:

1) VScheduler communicates via web interface on the same computer with vmix. Is it possible to redirect vscheduler to an other ip address to manage vmix over internet or local network?
a. It is 100% possible, just not with vScheduler or vMixScheduler. They are both hard coded to look at localhost, however this can be changed.

Can you please explain the above post further, because I have try it several times but I could not locate space to insert the vmix system IP.

Best Rgd,
GBIM

They are currently coded to only look at a local address, you can change this by downloading the source code and recompiling. There is no way to do it in the actual program currently. Unfortunately, at this time we are no longer using vScheduler, so I can't offer any promises to add feature in.

As a sidenote: Yes, vScheduler works perfectly fine under Windows 8 and 8.1.

Ok, fine! Then it should be not that hard to implement the features asked for. Yet if you want me to do it, i can't do it before april, my schedule is more than full atm.

you can control the overlay channels from the api
/api/?function=OverlayInput1&Input=1 (works as a toggle)
and as for changing text
/api/?Function=SetText&Input=1&SelectedIndex=0&Value=hello

Was this feature added?
If so, where is the file?

Thanks

So it looks like it still is localhost only?

Can someone verify if it can read from a remote webserver? yes or no?

thanks!
