Scenario:
  • Most audio for the stream is sourced from a dedicated mixer, which represents an audio input in vMix.
  • Audio is not utilized from Camera inputs; cameras are video only.
  • Some cameras are HDMI with little latency.
  • Other cameras use NDI wirelessly and have greater latency
  • Lip-sync issues result


The ability to change the audio latency via a script or trigger will enable audio to be easily synchronized when changing between cameras with different latencies.

Adding an API command for setting an Audio Delay on an input in vMix resolves this issue by allowing the audio delay to be set on transition in and out.

Would a plugin (Audio delay )not be useful ?
