Hi,

We had a broadcast this weekend where we had a guest who would talk into the broadcast via his computer in speech. However, it was not possible to connect to the broadcast because the guest did not have a camera on their computer. Is there a solution to this? For a call is a call even without a camera?

Regards Andreas

Yep, won't work without 'seeing' a webcam.
One workaround would be to have them install OBS, and turn on the 'Webcam' output so there is a virtual 'camera' vmixcall can see.

I put in a similar feature request a bit ago, as we often use vmixcall for easy remote multi-viewer access. :

I find it strange that a camera is required to be able to connect with a call. You must be able to call guests without them having to have a device with a webcam or having OBS installed.

Is this something you might have changed in the future?

Above all, it is a good function to have an external monitor. You can run NDI, but not all places where you can't sit on the same network.
