How do I set up mono mic signal to record dual mono (mono on both tracks) so I have audio on left and right channells? Using usb interface to bring mic signal to computer. Goal is to record audio and video for esiting in Davinci Resolve Studio.

Set up:
Sony ZV- 1 1080p 60 fps to el gato link to windiws 10 computer
Rode procaster xlr mic to audient iD4 mki usb interface to same computer
vmix input 1 is camera no audio
vmix input 2 is mono mic signal
recording in mp4

Open the audio settings for the input, go to the matrix and select all channels.

Thanks. I recorded a test and with it set to all I can hear audio on both sides.

Does setting to "all" create dual-channel mono? What does "seperate mono" do?

From the guide:

Select the audio channel to use for this input.


If you have a Microphone plugged into the left channel or right channel independently. Select SeparateMono here.

Separate mono allows you to adjust the volume of both mono channels independently from the Audio Mixer.

The audio from each microphone will be audible on both the left and right channels simultaneously.

As the userguide says. Seperate mono is the input. One mic on left another on right. You get seperate faders for both.
