I think its time Martin should be looking at integrating 3D virtual sets into vMix...

I absolute believed this can be achieved if the likes of Tricaster can so is vMix.. This will open many doors and opportunities with loads of other broadcasters around the globe.

We just want to see vMix to be the best software video switcher...

What specific virtual set features are you looking for?

To clarify, the Virtual Sets on the Tricaster are made up of pre-rendered static 3D images just like vMix.
They have a couple of additional effects that make them look a bit more three dimensional, but the underlying method is actually the same.

Regards,

Martin

Achieving the 3D effects is what I am actually thinking will be very good for vMix...

The 3 dimensional movement of a camera around Talents or within a studio

Something like this here:

Ok, I see what you mean, but you won't find that sort of effect on a Tricaster either as it just uses pre-rendered stills like vMix.

There are some very high end 3D virtual set technologies out there (such as from Vizrt) but they all
use very specialised (and very expensive) hardware in order to render and track everything in real time.

Damn2Good4U don't you need camera movements to be in sync with the background image movement to obtain what your demo video shows?

I guess you already can do a somewhat static 3D virtual effect in vMix by having one virtual set for each camera position.

- real time reflections on the table
- zoom in/out
would be great ;)

Serious Magic Ultra 2 used pre-rendered 3D video animations that included chroma key tracking information for each frame of the animation. This allowed chroma keyed talent and other objects to animate correctly in the 3D scene. Ultra was a post production tool there for could but be used for live productions. Serious Magic the company was purchased by Adobe many years ago and Ultra was discontinued.

Examples ...

It is time for the magic to return. This time in a live switching environment ... vMix

BluffTitler (http://www.outerspace-software.com/) is a real-time 3D video effects application for Windows that produces some amazing results. I have used BluffTitler in a number of live and post productions.

Recent template packs allow prerecorded chroma keyed talent to be rendered real-time in virtual studios. Because the chroma keyed footage must be captured before hand the virtual studios are therefore only available for use in a post production environment.

Examples:

Virtual Sets
http://www.outerspace-so...are.com/bixpack/pack?p=1

Broadcast Style Graphics

Imagine the power of combining vMix with BluffTitler. A marriage to disrupt the live video world.

I am in for this... Martin please research into how you can marry the two and let the rest follow....

The system requirement is not much see it here - "A graphics card with at least 256 MB video memory (1 GB recommended for full HD rendering)"

This will be a marriage made in heaven

I looking for sets with reflection in the desk or floor, but can´t find anyone. Can someone tell where to find such compatible sets for vMix? I asked a company but they said that it was not compatible for vMix, but they should make it compatible if I payed a lot, but it was to expensive for me.

I use some jpg from a studioset and when I want to change camera position I use three zoom effekts from same jpg. It means that I must create three jpg with same studio motive. It works nice, but there are no reflections from my hands and arms in the desk. Where can I find such studiosets as can be used in vMix?

Is it difficult to create that for you Martin, so reflections can be used as an effect in vMix?

This has been available since vMix13. Read the release notes. http://www.vmixhd.com/download.aspx

There is also a free template in vMix for you to try and modify.

Please do a search on the forum for further info.
