Hey all,

Breaking my head about finding a solution for the following. A client asked me if it is possible to display WhatsApp messages during a stream in vMix, for example in a lower third. Preferably with an option to moderate it.

Who has achieved this and can you share how you did it?

Other than live screen capture, quite difficult. Just checked Zapier, and they don't have an integration:

WhatsApp desktop client logged in on a separate computer. Bring in the WhatsApp computer as an NDI input using vmix desktop capture. Crop the input to the part of WhatsApp you want to see and place it as an overlay you bring in and out when you need it. Your moderator sits on the WhatsApp computer and tells you when to bring it in our out if messages get out of hand.

I have written a small PC program for this. As mentioned in fledglings post, install the WhatsApp desktop client. Then run the little program "vMix clipboard copy". Everything you mark with the mouse and send with CTRL-C into the clipboard memory, appears in my program as editable line. You can then select the entry and send it to vMix.
A title example is included.

Gracias por el aporte. Hay alguna manera de que el programa copie directo a "actual text in vMix"?
Me explico: abro whatsapp, copio mensaje y automáticamente cambia e título en vmix en vivo. ¿Es posible?

Thanks for the program. Is there a way that the direct copy texts in a "current text in vMix"?
Let me explain: I open whatsapp, I copy a message and it automatically changes the title in live title vmix. It's possible?
