Hi All,

I'm pretty new to vMix, so I would love some advice. Has anyone successfully used an 8 Channel Audio Interace with vMix? We have a live stream coming up that requires 5 different xlr inputs, so the recommended 4 Channel units won't do the trick. I am currently looking at the Scarlett18i20, but I'm open to anything.

Thank you for the help! I really appreciate it.

I know of at least one person who uses a Midas MR18 (18 inputs/outputs, configurable). I think I remember someone using a Scarlett 18i20 as well.

You could always use a mixer, too, if that fits into your workflow.

I use a Tascam US-16x08, but I would have though the Scarlett 18i20 would have been just as good. Have you tried it?

I haven't tried out the Scarlett 18i20 yet. I was hoping someone had experience with it already, but the Tascam sounds promising! I think we'll probably try with that first. Thanks!

I sometimes use a Behringer XR18, same unit as the Midas MR18. Provides up to 18 inputs, and is also a standalone mixer. Much more functionality than just a USB interface.
