Currently, the only way to send a Mix output to NDI/SDI/Fullscreen is by selecting the input number.

Would it be possible to add the "MIX" inputs as direct sources for outputs?

  • I occasionally get asked by my team why our routing is broken, and find someone dragged an input to 1 or 2 which swaps the output.
  • Also, with our ACME control surface, I have to cover the first 2 inputs with gaffing tape to remind the guys not to cut the mixes to the main mix, as the surface exposes the first 12 inputs and is not remappable.

I posted a similar request 3 years ago https://forums.vmix.com/...en-and-External--Outputs (no reactions, maybe because of the not-so-descriptive subject).

Our fix is to set all (used) Fullscreen, External, and Outputs sources in a script (a multifunction shortcut is also possible). And then run that script regularly when building the Preset as well as during pre-live prep. Far from elegant, but better than nothing.
