Bringing this one over from general discussion since it appears that nobody is aware of the requested features:

1) ReplaceInput - would people like to see a parameter with AddInput or an alternative to replace an input source (like clicking the "Change" button in the GUI), so that the settings are retained and things stay in the proper order?

AddInput, Move, Delete, SetMultiviewOverlay and other commands in sequence are a bit clunky and don't accomplish everything that a ReplaceInput command could do in a one-step command.

2) Category Numbering. If you build a base profile to make future show setup more efficient (input renaming not an issue, no shortcut changes, etc.), assigning commands to input number instead of the specific input seems the way to go. That's how I've done it for some input types, but that significantly limits any kind of re-ordering. What if everything had a running input number (as they do now), but each category had a unique input reference as well? Like A1, A2, B1, B2, etc.

Then one could use that identifier for inputs in categories that may be quite fluid (or static, for that matter) from show to show, without affecting commands that apply to other categories [if overall input order is changed].

The idea is that, say for a pre-recorded video category or group of virtual sets, they can be referenced by group based input, changed more freely, and calls based on group input number won't be affected by rearranging other inputs.

Quote slightly edited for clarity/detail.

+1 for Category Numbering. This would be extremely beneficial.
