Hi all.

A client wants to get there own lower thirds done and then will hand the files to me.
The test file that she gave me had a green background which I can key out no problem.
But if she gives me 20/30 files, would I be better off asking her to give me a transparent background as supposed to green ?

I imagine that keying will take more processing power.

Any thoughts ?

If they are animated, I would have them hand you png image sequences with alpha, import as image, set animation to sequence and set that to the sequence duration.

Hi, I think the best bet for you would be to import the lower third (PNG or image sequence if animated) into the GT Title Designer.
Then just add a text block for the name (and another for the title if needed) and save it.
That way you can then add the input in vMix and add all the names in that one input.

This is easy to do as there are good tutorials on YouTube and it will minimize the GPU mem needed.
