Hi,
If I have VLC outputting NDI on one PC can I use this as a NDI Input source for vMix on two or three other PC's on the LAN at the same time? Or will it degrade the picture quality or cause vMix NDI Input issues with multiple PC access?
Thx

NDI Network Bandwidth
NDI operates most efficiently in a dedicated network with high bandwidth and high availability. This is in contrast to unmanaged environments such as the public Internet or networks where video rides along with data without priority.
While a single stream of HD video can easily be delivered on a Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) network, Gigabit (1000 Mbps) networks are essential in production workflows. A typical NDI stream consisting of 1080i HD video yields a data rate up to 100 Mbps per stream. This extremely efficient stream is designed to have very low latency and allows multiple streams to be stacked together on a single Gigabit network.
Less bandwidth is needed with NDI / HX NDI® | HX also requires less bandwidth than, for example, the RTSP protocol. The bandwidth actually required depends on the resolution of the live stream used. In general, however, the bandwidth is around 10 Mbit / s.
Try it out once with SRT in VLC.
VLC media player and SRT In VLC - network stream / network e.g. srt: //192.168.1.20: 10000 In vMix - Type: Listener - Port: 10000 example: (192.168.1.20 network address of vMix PC)

I have done a video on NDI bandwidth. This might help to understand it better.
