I have just got a lovely midi controller the Novation LaunchPad Mini (Mk3) which I would love to integrate with my vMix as I am almost always the sole operator and "performer".

It has been going well, apart from this issue - where I need to send just a single "note" to toggle a function ie "Audio" which is an On/Off function. It seems to immediately send another "note" which turns it off again! I don't want to have to keep my finger on the button all the time!

This is also noticeable when triggering a transition from Preview to Live ie CrossFade or Merge. It stutters because multiple CrossFade/Merge signals are being sent.

Is there a way to gt vMix only to accept a single "note" at a time? Or is there a fix at the Midi end?

If anyone has overcome this with MIDI, I'd be grateful to hear from them.

Sorry, I don't quite understand.

I didn't want two buttons: one for on and one for off because a single button that does on/off is obviously better. A keypress shortcut mamanges that. Can you describe a little more what you mean please?

a midi button has 2 states:
- one is when you press the button > ON
- one when you release the button > OFF

From your description it seems that your command is set for both > ON triggers the command and OFF triggers the command again

So make sure to set your shortcut on either ON or OFF but not both.
