I have been noticing that since several updates, I was losing performance in vMix. Old complex projects that were done with CPU less than 48% now took almost 80%. Today I made some tests and found that with integrated Intel GPU I could run more simultâneos vídeos than with nVidia. My laptop is Asus GL552VW with 960M. I than made the same test with Dell with 1050TI and the performance was exatctly the same with nVidia and intel integrated GPU, no difference in performance. So I guess there is something wrong going on with vMix?

Might be time for a clean Windows install.
Also, an SSD getting full could cause issues. And of course, computers get slower over time as software gets more complex.

I made a clean Windows installation. Tested in 2 machines. I would like to know if anyone else is having the same problem. By the way, anyone could make the same test to see if only I am having this problem. Just change in the nvidia control panel the integrated GPU for vMix and check the performance.

Hi! I've observing the same kind of inconsistency, I have tested a GTX1070 and a Radeon RX5700 XT where, officialy, the Radeon didn't have GPU encoding support on vMix, but the performance is far better with the latter... My Topic: https://forums.vmix.com/...celerated-encoding-doubtEm tempo, brasileiro aqui, e também, pelo visto de igreja :-)

Maybe the vMix now is only optimized for nVidia RTX cards... I will do a test with a machine with RTX2060. (sim, somos irmãos em Cristo! Um, gde abs!)

Perhaps roll back the video card driver and see if it changes anything.

Same issue on 2 machines with GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 (Desktop variants). Sometimes when i load a video more then 1 hour, the GPU memory increases by almost half (sometimes a 30 minutes video as well). Another issue is sometimes the SRT use CPU decoding insead of GPU decoding, even if i select the GPU decoding in menu or i have a performant GPU.
vMix is now optimized for new hardware (from my point of view, this is not an optimization), but is sad because not all from here we have thousands of euros/dollars (A new computer in Eastern Europe, for exemple, is about 1500 to 2000 euro, which is 4 time more than minimum salary) to spend on new hardware.

I don´t have any RTX to test, just the GTX1070 and the RX5700 XT. I think that this may be related to the maximum number of video streams that NVENC can handle in non-Quadro (1 or 2, depending on the model/generation), so, I can´t find any information about the number of paralel encoding tasks on the Navi cards (Radeon 5000 series). If this is true, vMix is using more hardware streans on AMD/Intel setups than in nVidia...

We speak with no purpose, the vMix developer it hurts at the banana about our problems and out "old" hardware.

At least you would have to connect your monitor to the output of the other GPU, as it is not advisable to use multiple GPUs with vMix, afaik. Where do you have your monitor connected?

I haven't idea that the NVENC limitations on GeForce cards are software-inflicted :-( About my tests, I've made some experiments here: https://forums.vmix.com/...celerated-encoding-doubt
