Thanks Martin

That is a Problem for me as I use a Sony dsr 45 with Firewire in, to record to when ]tape[ recording is required. I am seriously looking at getting your software to do my Television productions with, in South Africa. So far it is looking very promising and well done with vMix. Would you recommend vMix for TV broadcast??

Regards
Barend

Hi Barend,

You'd probably be better off using the YUV component out from your camera and input to your PC via a Blackmagic Intensity pro, or similar.

Firewire is compressed in the camera so needs to be uncompressed by the PC before it can be processed.

The BMI Pro is relatively cheap, $150 or so on ebay, and works well in full HD so is somewhat future-proof.

Regards
Brian
