Hi Martin,

I recently installed vMix 12.0.0.71

My normal work flow for clients soccer games is:

Connect camera
Set recording to Deck link MJPEG Compressor, AVI, 1920 x 1080 saving to a fast internal drive.
Capture input from camera
Record both half's of game.

I then import both half's into Adobe Premier CS6 to edit full game and highlights for my client and club.

This time however I get very bad stuttering when playing back in CS6 which is not normal. Try create new files again with vmix and import.
Same result. Bad stuttering and very poor playback in CS6. Bummer, I cant edit highlights clip for my client.

Try option two:
Play game back from camera recording into Black Magic media express. Create two files for each half. Setting was AVI motion JPEG 1080

Now import those media express recording into premier CS6. Works perfectly. No stuttering what so ever. Managed to compile my highlights package and is now uploading to YouTube.
Very happy to complete but wonder what the issue is with vMix recordings?
The only change in my system was upgrading to vmix 12. Any thoughts please?

Cheers
Bryan

Could you provide a copy of the recording log file for review?

The log file is in the same directory as the recording with the same filename.

Thanks, the audio device should be set to "vMix Audio".
The system mix option should not normally be used.

Out of curiosity, does the recording play ok in media player or vMix directly?

Regards,

Martin

Thanks for the settings tip :)

Yes, that's the strange thing about all this. The files play back ok in vlc and just tested inside vmix and yes plays back ok too.
Hmmm very strange?

The only thing I can think of is Premiere may not like the audio format of the system mix device (44100)
The previous recordings may have used vMix Audio which defaults to 48000. If you have the log files from older
recordings that are ok, you can check them to see if this is the case.

use Cineform HD codec .

It´s FREE !!

Has very good quality and premiere likes it :)

also, 48k is the standard audio for video.
