Hi guys, love the software and I am about to direct my first live show from home this Thursday.

I can't seem to get access to Vmix Social web interface remotely.

I send the link to my producers but the page won't load.

It loads on all my computers on my local network, including my phone but I can't access it from another network.

I have searched far and wide about this and have found very little info on the exact firewall settings I need to setup up Vmix Social for remote access.

Please help.

I've turned off my firewall and still no luck.

You need to port-forward to the vMix machine. https://portforward.com/

Thanks for the suggestion.

I did a port-forward 8089 through my xfinity modem but it still does not work.

I have firewall off as well.

I feel like there is some weird windows 10 feature that is blocking the url or something.

I can access http://**.*.*.***:8089/ from all my devices on the network but I can't access it outside my network still.

Make sure you are calling the PUBLIC IP address of your router not the private IP. You find it by looking at the router's setting page.

e.g.

PUBLIC IP: http://3.54.11.123:8089
PRIVATE IP: http://192.168.0.244:8089

Having this same issue. tried the Public/private IP and did not work. tried port forwarding the IP and port of the Machine and nothing.

Tried in two different machines, 4 devices and 3 different networks.

Funny thing is port 8088 with the controller and tally works super well in every device/network/machine.

Not sure what else to do!

PLEASE HELP

Port forward 8088 to your vMix machine's LOCAL IP address.

Under the web controller settings tab, uncheck "Restrict access to local LAN".

On your remote device enter xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088 using the PUBLIC IP address of your vMix machine's network.

That should do it. Beware that opening this port does leave your network vulnerable to attacks.
