I understand that I will need to script in the "VB.NET" structure, in order to use the IF statements - but I'm not sure how I would go around to check what input is currently in the Output. Is it possible?

Is it possible? Yes. Check "scripting for dummies" post and have look at the API xml (127.0.0.1:8088/api)
