There is a requirement to provide an additional and essential feature with regards Overlay Preview and its relationship with the vMix Activators.

While there is an extensive list of Activators available for Midi and other control surfaces to “activate” Overlays, there appears to be one critical feature missing from the vMix Activator library.

Overlay (1-4) Preview for Activators. An urgent & proposed implementation below.

Imagine while streaming or broadcasting, the Director has to lose focus on the cameras & other video sources multiview and the flow of the production, to manipulate a mouse cursor onto a small micro-square called Overlay and right click to preview and check an overlay key. With a reverse task that is again required to remove the preview key.

This understandably is why so many vMixers use tactile hardware controllers with tallys/activators for vMix to simplify the video switching workflow. Alas, while we can see preview tallys/activators for preview sources, we still do not have activators for overlay previews. This feature has been requested many times over the years by various Users, and yet to no avail. We plead with to you Martin to provide this facility as soon as possible.
