Trying to determine root cause of VMIX crashing during a session yesterday. Somewhat newer user with only a couple months of training
I9-16core Box Asus Liquid Cooled Motherboard (averages 40-60C) 64GB Ram 2- 2TB NVMe SS Drives 1- Geoforce 2080 Super 1- Decklink 5K 12G Extreme
Recording Session- 5 - NDI Inputs from another VMIX system making the VMIXcall 1 - 6-Way Split
2- External Ouputs to external AJA Recorders -Output/6-way split- SDI 2- Graphics Outputs to external AJA Recorders - NDI CALL 1 / NDI Call 2 - SDI 2- Internal records to SSDrives - NDI Call 3 / NDI Call 4 - Apple ProRes-LT 5-Mulicorder Records - NDI Calls 1-5 - MP4
CPu/GPU usage -- 30 - 40% - 30 minutes recorded successfully Then Crashed - no error log - just closed application - stopped records Restarted application and restarted everything Crashed again - 10 minutes later Windows Programs and software are on its own 2TB SSDrive External Records and Multicorder were being outputted to the same drive - 2nd 2TB SSDrive Drives were 90% empty so drive space was not an issue It seems the AJA recorders kept recording because they just returned to a desktop image when software crashed
Just trying to determine if there is something I setup wrong or need to avoid?? Can I run internal and multicorder records at the same time? Same storage drive or should they be separate? Does NDI interfere or inhibit the recording because of the dropped frames?
Thanks Brent
