Dear vMix Users,
i got a question about the vcall and external camera input:
my vcall guest wants to use an external camera via atem mini on his mac. Does anyone know how he can select the external camera in safari to use the external camera and not the built in?
Maybe an other way can be: he uses the app manycam on his mac, and he already streamed to facebook with this. But he needs a stream and login data for this. Can I host a stream out of vmix so he can log in and stream his camera directly to me?
Of course the easiest way would be, he uses vmix as well and we connect to each other, but he is using mac, so using vmix is not possible.
thanks a lot for your ideas! best, meischi

If his capture device isn't natively picked up by the browser then he'll need to use something that can convert it into a virtual web cam. On mac OBS with the virtual camera plugin will do the job.

I was thinking about OBS Studio as well - but was thinking, that there should be an easier way for this.
We found kind of a solution - we used safari for the first try and he wasnt able to select his external camera as an input, but with chrome it works fine. Seems like a safari issue.

Needs a UVC compliant HDMI/SDI to USB device so browser will see (the device) like a webcam.

In Chrome, click the camera icon in the browser bar. Settings will be greyed out. You need to click on Manage then change the mic/camera in the Chrome settings.
